We have a hill in our back yard that we can’t safely mow. Do you have a product that would be maintenance free?

Yes.  There are more than a few plants that are recommended for stabilizing soil on hills and slopes that do not require maintenance.  We recommend a flowering plant called Crown Vetch as it chokes out most other weeds and grasses and flowers during parts of the year.  This is the plant most commonly used to stabilize soil on mine sites and other large industrial or commercial projects.

We have a large area of our side yard that is bare dirt due to erosion but we would like grass. Our neighbor recommended something called erosion mat. Do you apply this?

Yes. On certain projects, where clients eventually want grass on a slope, we have prepared the soil and then stabilized it with erosion mat and then hydroseeded over the top of, and embedded into, the erosion mat with good success.
