Hydroseeding is the fasted and most cost effective way of establishing a new lawn short of the much more expensive cost of installing sod. Every type of grass seed has a specific rate of application per acre for establishing a new lawn or pasture. A professional hydroseeder can mix a load of “slurry” with just the right amount of water, seed, mulch, fertilizer, ph conditioner, glues and various enzymes to get this specific formula correct for every cubic inch of material sprayed onto your prepared soil. Water is the most important ingredient; grass seeds need to achieve a certain level of moisture content before they can start the germination process. 100% of grass seeds mixed into a hydroseeding tank acquire this level of moisture during the mixing and application process. This mix then becomes a series of moist micro-greenhouses held in place by the gluey mulch as they feed and protect your seeds while they germinate.

ADVANTAGES

Do you want a high quality lawn, without all the work and cost of laying sod?

Hydro Seeding is the answer. We eliminate the back breaking job of installing sod by hydro seeding your lawn at a fraction of the cost. By having your lawn hydro seeded, you save more than 75% of the cost of sod.

Your lawn looks fantastic – FAST!

Our special blend of premium seeds are applied with additives that promote rapid germination, and deep root growth. You will typically see growth 7-14 days after we hydro seed, and in 2-3 weeks you will have the beginnings of a lush, full lawn.

Better than just “seeding”

By having your lawn hydro seeded, you are insuring nearly 100% seed growth. Each seed is suspended and protected in a mulch mat. You won’t have the problem of watching your seeds wash away in streams. Seeds are held securely in place by the mulch fibers, which creates a mini-greenhouse effect, retaining water, and promoting germination. It produces a high quality lawn without a high price tag.

MAINTENANCE

Maintaining a Hydro Seeded Lawn.

We will use a tested, high quality, certified turf mix for each of our unique hydroseeding projects; therefore maintenance schedules will vary depending on the mix used and other conditions such as weather, soil and sunlight etc. Germination time depends mostly on weather conditions, temperature and the type of seed applied. Usually cold weather grasses will be visible within 7 to 14 days after application – a few days slower in cold weather.

Care and Watering.

Successful seed germination depends on a few days of special care. To assure proper germination, water regularly, 2 times a day in warm weather just enough to keep the mulch mix moist. Keeping your yard moist will maximize seed germination. You may walk on the surface when watering, being careful not to disturb the mulch mat. By keeping your new seedlings from drying out, you insure the beginning of a lawn that will make your neighbors green with envy.

Mowing

Typically you will begin to mow your new grass approximately 3 weeks after seeding. Mowing stimulates growth and thickness. Set the mower high at first, then gradually lower to the required cut height for your type of grass.

Fertilizing

Fertilizer is included with service; fertilize on normal schedule after lawn takes hold. Depending on the amount of watering applied during the first growth phase, some lawns may need a booster shot of fertilizer 30 to 40 days after germination.
